The following are different animations/videos related to my research. More content continually added, so please check back!
This presentation was recorded for the 2022 Ocean Sciences Meeting, giving an overview of the data assimilation research that I worked on at UC Santa Cruz in 2021 and 2022. Closed captioning is available in the video.
This is a recording of my doctoral defence ceremony at TU Delft. In the Netherlands, doctoral defences are primarily ceremonial, with certain rituals and formal protocols that need to be followed. Even if you aren't interested in the content of the discussion, you may find the ceremony itself interesting!
Thermal Video of a Steam Vent in Iceland
Iceland is a hotspot for geothermal activity, with steam vents visible all over the surface. Here is one such vent as it appears in photographs, then when viewed with a thermal camera. For scale, the white is roughly 50-degrees C, while the black is 15-degrees C.
This video was made during the MSc Iceland Fieldwork Course offered by TU Delft.

Idealized River Plume at 45-degrees Latitude
Simulation of an idealized river plume at 45-degrees latitude with a discharge of 1500 m3/s. Top panel shows the vertically integrated fresh water, the bottom shows a cross-section of the bulge region. The full domain is 200 km x 500 km, with a maximum depth of 100 m. For more, see: MSc: River Plumes.
