With a background in both ocean and atmospheric sciences, I consider myself an “earth system scientist”. As such, I am interested in a range of topics, with particular interest in the interaction between different components of the earth system.
My interests include:
I also believe in the application of a range of tools and methods in research. This includes utilizing and collecting observations from various sources (including in situ and remote sensing) alongside performing numerical simulations and experiments.
My interests include:
- Coastal oceanography, especially the influence of physics on biogeochemical cycles
- Boundary-layer meteorology
- The relationship between (coastal) ocean properties and weather/climate
- Ocean-atmosphere interactions and exchanges (e.g., of momentum, gases, etc.)
